💡 The catalog is based on Boxmall (boxmall.net) outer dimensions. The actual box interior can be smaller by the corrugation thickness (B-flute about 3 mm, E-flute about 5 mm). Paste a box code into the boxmall.net search bar to jump to that product page.

Box recommendation — how do we find the right box?

This tool takes the width, depth, and height and quantity of your product and runs a simulation against every box in the catalog. For each box it compares the product's six orientations to find the arrangement that fits the most, and calculates how many units fit per box.

It then divides requested quantity ÷ units per box to derive the number of boxes needed, and displays the volume utilization (total product volume ÷ total volume of the boxes needed) alongside. For ranking, the box that needs the fewest boxes comes first, the box with higher utilization second, and the smaller box third.

Catalog makeup — 270+ SKUs from all of Boxmall (boxmall.net)

This tool uses every shipping-box SKU actually sold on Boxmall (boxmall.net) as its catalog. Sizes are based on outer dimensions and grouped by series.

Copy a box code as-is and paste it into the Boxmall (boxmall.net) search bar to jump straight to that product page. Because catalog sizes are based on outer (exterior) dimensions, the actual box interior is smaller by the corrugation thickness (B-flute about 3 mm, E-flute about 5 mm).

Where do I order the box codes?

The box codes in this tool's recommendations match Boxmall (boxmall.net) product codes. Paste a catalog code (A-1, B-46, C-101, etc.) straight into the Boxmall search bar to jump to that product page.

※ If you need post-office standard No. 1–5 boxes: they are sold at post-office counters, Daiso, E-Mart, Costco, Auction, 11st, and more.

Frequently asked questions

How is the box recommendation decided?
The top priority is the box that requires the fewest boxes, the second is the box with the highest volume utilization, and the third is the smallest box size. The option that fits the same quantity into the fewest boxes most efficiently is shown at the top.
Does it recommend by the box's internal or external dimensions?
This tool's catalog is based on the box's internal dimensions. The internal size applied is smaller than the external size that manufacturers list by the corrugation thickness (B-flute about 3 mm, E-flute about 5 mm). If you need precise packing, please confirm the actual box's internal dimensions.
Is utilization of 80% or more always good?
If utilization is too high, there isn't enough room for cushioning and the risk of damage in transit rises. For non-breakable items like clothing and general goods, 80–95% is appropriate; for damage-prone items like cosmetics and electronics, it's safer to leave room at 60–75%.
What if the quantity doesn't fit in a single box?
It's shown as, for example, "Boxes needed = 2." When an SKU combination won't all fit in one box, combined packing isn't feasible, so you can switch to a larger box or split the shipment across 2–3 boxes.
Can I evaluate boxes that aren't in the catalog?
The catalog currently includes 25+ popular market sizes, covering most seller cases. If you need a custom box that isn't in the catalog, you can get a custom-manufacturing quote from a specialist box store, or, through a RUNIC fulfillment consultation, receive box-standardization consulting after an SKU analysis.
What's the difference between box-packing calculation and CBM calculation?
The box recommendation calculator addresses "which box should I pack the product in" (this tool). The CBM calculator addresses "which container do I need for the total volume of many boxes." The outbound unit grows in the order box recommendation → CBM calculation → pallet loading, and RUNIC provides free tools for every stage.

From box standardization to fulfillment — RUNIC

Choosing a box size ties together shipping cost, box unit price, and volumetric weight. RUNIC handles everything from SKU analysis → box standardization → inbound inspection → outbound in one team, so sellers can focus on their core business.

* Catalog box dimensions are based on the box's internal dimensions. We compare six orientations to find the arrangement that fits the most, and recommend in the order boxes needed → utilization → box size. Before ordering actual boxes, please confirm the manufacturer's exact internal dimensions and the corrugation thickness and material.
