RUNIC Deploys the Pudu Robotics MT1 Autonomous Cleaning Robot
RUNIC has deployed the Pudu Robotics MT1 AI autonomous cleaning robot at its roughly 3,000-pyeong (approx. 9,900㎡) fulfillment center on the 4th floor of K-One Gimpo Logis. Running automatically around the clock, it keeps the center consistently clean, creating an outbound environment where clients in hygiene-sensitive categories — cosmetics, F&B, and healthcare — can store and ship with confidence. Cleanliness no longer depends on how diligent people happen to be; the system and the robot guarantee it as a standard.
Why a Cleaning Robot
In a fulfillment center, cleanliness is not merely a matter of operational hygiene — it is a core variable that directly affects the quality of what ships out. When dust or debris ends up on products or boxes, it leads to claims, and the impact is especially pronounced for hygiene-sensitive categories (cosmetics, food, quasi-drugs). When cleaning is done by people:
- Deploying cleaning staff during peak hours collides with outbound traffic flow
- Cleaning frequency and intensity vary from zone to zone
- Cleaning records for night and early-morning shifts are inconsistent
RUNIC chose to solve this with an autonomous cleaning robot integrated with our in-house WMS. Using AI mapping and autonomous navigation, the Pudu Robotics MT1 runs automatically during off-work hours to maintain a round-the-clock cleanliness standard.
The Model — Pudu Robotics MT1
Within Pudu Robotics' lineup of commercial AI cleaning robots, this is the model optimized for large facilities. Its dual disc brushes handle everything from fine dust to larger debris such as leaves and bottles.
How RUNIC Runs It
1. Automated Overnight Full Sweep
Once outbound operations wrap up for the day, the robot performs a full sweep of the entire 3,000-pyeong operating space. At the standard mode of 1,800㎡/h, a single pass across the whole floor is completed in 5 to 6 hours.
2. AI Camera-Based Spot Cleaning
An AI camera recognizes debris on the floor in real time and concentrates cleaning on that exact spot. Per Pudu Robotics' figures, this delivers a 500% efficiency gain over standard routing.
3. Integrated Into Our Operating Data
Cleaning logs are integrated into RUNIC's in-house WMS dashboard, enabling zone-by-zone cleanliness history tracking. Where hygiene-sensitive clients require it, a cleaning history report can be provided.
What Clients Gain — "Clean by Default, Standardized 24/7"
- A consistent cleanliness standard 365 days a year — the same level of cleanliness on weekdays, weekends, and holidays alike
- Peace of mind for hygiene-sensitive categories — a standardized outbound environment for cosmetics, food, and healthcare brands
- Cleaner outbound boxes — fewer claims from dust and debris
- Cleanliness maintained even in peak season — automated around the clock, with no reliance on staffing
- Measured data on hand — cleaning history reports as verification material for onboarding and MD review
The First Step Toward "Smart Fulfillment"
Following the development of our own WMS and TMS, RUNIC has now added a cleaning robot — standardizing fulfillment-center operations through data and automation. By clearly separating the work people should do from the work machines do best, our people focus on judgment-driven areas such as inspection, QC, and client support, while the repetitive, standardizable work is handled by the system and the robot around the clock. This is the "smart fulfillment built by a company that actually operates" that RUNIC is working toward.
A cleaner center, more reliable outbound. RUNIC will keep investing steadily in operational automation to remain the most dependable outbound partner for our clients.
